My honey and I acquired 2 sets so that can do more traveling. Considering that they nest together, they don't take up more space than two large luggages.

 I just recently dealt with some Samsonite travel luggage that was old, batter, and very HEAVY when empty. We recently travelled from the east coast to Las Vegas, and back. We used 2 big, and one small for continuing our CPAP devices. Here are my impressions:

The travel luggage is very light-weight! This suggests you can load more clothes and individual items to satisfy the "under 50 pound" requirement.

 My honey's suitcase weighed in at 49 lbs, and mine at 39 lbs. (we bought a digital baggage scale to ensure that we would not go over the limit). The case product seems effectively stiff, with only a slight provide. 

The lining material appears to be nylon, with the usual zip flap compartment, cross-straps, and internal pouches. There are no locks, levers, or snaps, which indicates that the whole contents are held together by an only zipper. 

We instantly recognized this as the "weak spot" when they arrived. So, we ordered BlueCosto  (Orange) TSA Approved Lock Cross Luggage Straps Suitcase Travel Bag Belt 600003-ORG.

 We truly didn't care much about the lock, even getting rid of the heavy stress on the zippers, and to keep whatever from spilling out if it stopped working. The belts worked beautifully, and after the trip to Vegas and back, might see the amount of abuse our baggage withstood

 The brilliant orange belt (which further flags our travel luggage at the baggage claim, and matches the orange zippers on the olive & ginger baggage) sustained heavy black marks, and a little tearing around the edges.

 The outdoors skin of the Timberland luggage was completely undamaged, not even a scratch. Dirt did not even mark it, however we saw the way they were thrown around on conveyor belts.
